This is how I decided to start today’s post in an unusual way. Which will be dedicated to making them at home. After all, we all traditionally love to give them for the New Year. Namely, I suggest making a Christmas tree from what you have on hand. It can be anything, for example, paper, cotton pads, dry twigs, etc. After all, we all dream of surprising our loved ones with something special and unique. Therefore, if you are still thinking about what to give to mom, dad, etc. then you have a ready-made solution).
Of course, every home on New Year's Day has a brightly decorated living “forest beauty” that flickers and blinks with multi-colored lights. I suggest making a “little girlfriend” so that she doesn’t get bored. And behind one, your decor in the rooms will be transformed, or perhaps you will place it on the holiday table.
In addition, this creative work will bring a lot of positive emotions and will delight children. Moreover, the winter evenings are long, and you can afford to create something beautiful and green).
Although it doesn’t have to be exactly this color, white is also in fashion. The tree will look as if it is covered in snow or frost.
I’ll start with perhaps the most grandiose and magical tree in my opinion. I suggest you look and study these instructions in order to create such a funny and cheerful beauty for yourself or someone else as a souvenir. The work is made of sisal, who does not know this coarse fiber of a tropical plant.
On a note. A special feature of this craft is the presence of funny legs instead of a stand. And if you remove them, you get topiary, which can be made from any material, for example, coffee beans or thread.

We will need:
- green sisal – 25 g

1. Take the Kinder case and cut off the lid. For the small part, cut off a small section on one side with a semi-oval, so that you can glue it together later.

How to make a voluminous Christmas tree out of paper at home
I think that many have ever thought about this question. After all, schools and kindergartens often give assignments on this topic. I suggest making, for example, a silhouette Christmas tree. To do this, take this sample and print it on office colored sheets.
Then cut out with a stationery knife and glue the blanks together. Use special clamps for this.
You can make a whole forest of these colorful coniferous beauties.
The following work will be completed in 5 minutes. Don't believe me? It couldn’t be simpler; you will need circles of colored double-sided paper and a pencil on a stand. The diameter of the blanks you see below:
1. Fold the circle in half with your hands, so that you get a semicircle.

Christmas tree made of beads for beginners (diagram inside)
The next creation of nature is wow, cool and at the same time elegant. And such a souvenir will last for more than a dozen years. This is a spruce made of beads. I thought it was impossible to make such a tree myself. But as it turns out, I was wrong. I am sure you will cope with such work with a bang.
We will need:
- green beads - 7 shades
- white beads or transparent
- plate from under the flowerpot
- acrylic paint: white and brown
- wire 0.4 mm
- PVA glue
- ruler
- rod 4 mm and length 2 cm
- tape
- alabaster
1. Place the beads in a cup and mix all the colors. Place beads on the wire in different color sequences and measure 2.5 cm using a ruler. At the same time, leave the edge in the region of 5-7 cm without beads.
2. Make a loop for four circular turns.
3. From the loop, step back 2 cm of wire free and without beads of wire and again count 2.5 cm and make a loop.
4. For the smallest branch, wind 7 loops in this way. Then find the middle and fold it in half and twist the elements together.
5. Thus, you should have this number of branches.
7. Now take the rod and wrap the tape, and then 4 branches with 7 loops to it. The first one is in the center, and the rest are placed below in a circle, twist the stick and wrap it with tape.
6. Next, take 6 branches of 9 loops each. Wrap them in a circle in two tiers of three branches, wind them in a circle. Then step back down about 7 mm and take 5 branches of 11 loops each and wind them in one tier.
7. Retract 7 mm again and wind 6 branches of 11 loops each and again divide them into two tiers. And so on. The final stage is 5 branches of 7 loops.
Rewind the remaining barrel with brown tape. Spread the branches to make the tree lush.
8. Bend the table at 90 degrees and place it in a cup from under the flowerpot. Pour alabaster solution into it and let it dry.
9. Wait until the tree sets; you can also plant any symbol of the New Year. For example, a pig or a rat.
Make a thick solution of PVA glue and alabaster, dip it in a kitchen napkin and glue it to the trunk. To get a natural look.
10. After complete hardening, start painting, but first remove the product from the cup. Paint the trunk brown and the platform white.
11. Decorate with large beads in the form of toys or something else.

Now let's get acquainted with a fairly simple craft that you can easily do with your child at home or in a kindergarten class. This option is so easy that it is suitable for any younger or older group.

New Year’s holidays can still be imagined without snow in the southern regions of Russia, but without a Christmas tree it’s definitely impossible. And since this is the main symbol of the January red days of the calendar, in many houses, in addition to the main fluffy forest beauty, small “copies” of it appear, which are easy to make yourself.
DIY Christmas tree: what to make it from?
A small homemade Christmas tree is a wonderful New Year’s gift, an excellent decor for any part of the apartment, and a great way to decorate a small room. There are countless materials that can become the basis for this product: from the usual paper to such unusual options as beads, sweets or even pasta. The finished sculpture can fit into almost any interior. And those who love the real smell of forest spruce can make a small tabletop version from branches.
This alternative to a tall tree will require pine branches, a stick used in Asian cooking, thin wire or strong threads. The number of branches is determined by the desired height of the product. For a small specimen, 4-5 fluffy paws are enough. They are disassembled into pieces so that the length of the pieces differs from each other. The shortest ones will be at the top, and the lower, the longer the small single branches will be.
The sushi stick is placed vertically and secured in a crosspiece or in a flat candlestick with a small diameter. If there is empty space in it that does not allow the stick to be fixed, you need to pour paraffin from the melted candle inside. After which single branches begin to be attached to the axis using wire or threads. How thick to do this is up to you.
The top of the resulting Christmas tree must be decorated, since in any case the wire and the base of the branches will be visible there. For this purpose, you can make a small star out of paper or any other material. It is recommended to decorate such a Christmas tree with tiny balls, confetti and a thin short rain.
For another option, you only need 2-3 pine paws, as well as an empty bottle (0.5 l), plaster of Paris, water, a piece of polystyrene foam, and shiny wrapping paper. And, of course, you will need any small and light decorations for the finished product. The creation scheme is simple: the bottle is cut in half with a transverse line, only its lower part is used. Gypsum is diluted with water and the resulting container is filled with it. As soon as the mixture begins to thicken, the spruce or pine paws collected in a bouquet are lowered with their bases into the plaster and held in a vertical position until it hardens completely.
The main work is done, the branches will bend under their own weight so that you get a small spruce. All that remains is to add decor: the bottle part is wrapped in paper, hand-crushed foam is scattered onto branches lightly treated with glue, depicting snowflakes. The top of the tree is decorated with rain and small balls.
Original tree made of pine cones
- A product made from pine or fir cones also allows you to feel the atmospheric forest aroma, however, it will look much less natural. And with interesting processing - even futuristic. You can create a tall sculpture, equal in size to a living spruce, and a small tabletop decorative element. For any of them, the cones can be selected to any diameter; it is only important that they are well opened: this will ensure the splendor of the craft.
- To create a small Christmas tree, you will need thick cardboard, a glue gun, tape, spray paint, and pine cones as the main material. Their number, as well as the size of the cardboard, is chosen at personal discretion.
- The cardboard must be rolled into a cone, making it as stable as possible. Secure the figure with tape. This cone will be covered with cones; they should be strengthened with glue from a gun, and pressed more tightly together. For the top, it is recommended to use a candle cone that has not opened. The finished Christmas tree needs to be coated with spray paint. Moreover, if a silver or golden shade is chosen, this can be done last, by first stretching a thread along the Christmas tree with beads sparsely strung on it.
- A large spruce made from cones will, of course, require much more base material. And it will not have an axis in the form of a cardboard cone - it is enough to cut a circle out of plywood or other thin but dense base. Its diameter is equal to the desired base of the future spruce. Cones will be glued to this circle around the perimeter, positioned so that they open outward and lie on their sides. To get a cone rather than a tall cylinder, each new row of cones is moved inward by 2-3 cm or a little less. Here, for the top, exactly the same cone is used as for the other areas of the tree, only placed vertically.
- Finally, the product receives color thanks to spray paint. If you wish, you can even paint the ends of the cones separately, in a different shade. It’s much easier to decorate such a Christmas tree: just like a real one, balls and figures can easily be put on it, and even a garland can be placed on it.
Paper Christmas tree: master class
It is best to make a Christmas tree out of paper with children: this will be a great way to develop their fine motor skills and allow them to participate with their mother in decorating the house. Although the product looks complex and sophisticated, a child can handle its creation no worse than an adult. You will need regular colored paper (green is best), glue (PVA or in a stick), a ruler, scissors and a pencil.
- Each sheet is lined on the wrong side, the width of the stripes is no more than 1.5 cm, they all must be the same. Their total number is selected so that it is a multiple of 6. Finally, all strips are cut and folded into piles of 6 pieces. Ideally, you should get 6 piles, similar in pairs to each other: the longest strips (12 pcs.), shorter by 3-4 cm (12 pcs.), and even shorter by 3-4 cm (12 pcs.)

Glue tinsel, preferably green, onto the base of a paper cone in a spiral. Although you can use tinsel of a different color for this purpose. Decorate with small balls, sparkles or thin rain.
