This is a really lazy recipe! No hassle with either the dough or the filling, and in just 15 minutes you get a crispy strudel made from the thinnest lavash with a juicy apple filling. You don’t even have to preheat the oven; the strudel is fried in a frying pan in oil. You can, of course, bake it in the oven and put various goodies in the filling, but that’s if time allows. And when you don’t have it, use the simplest and fastest apple strudel recipe.
The apples for the filling need to be finely chopped, and a chopper will do the job perfectly. If you don’t have it, you will still have to work a little or get a jar of apples prepared for pies from your supplies.

Ingredients:

- lavash sheets – 2 pieces (large, rectangular);
- apples – 10-12 pcs;
- sugar - to taste;
- ground cinnamon – 0.5 tsp (to taste);
- butter – 50-70 g;
- powdered sugar - for decoration.

How to cook with photos step by step

If you have a food processor or chopper, then skip the first step of the lazy apple pita strudel recipe. Of all the steps, you only need to cut the apples into 4 parts and remove the seeds. In the absence of kitchen helpers, we arm ourselves with a sharp knife and finely chop the apples. We do not peel off the skin.

When the most tedious work is done, heat up the frying pan and melt the butter in it. Transfer the apples to the oil and stir. Keep the heat low so that the apples simmer and do not burn. Cover with a lid for speedy cooking.

Add sugar to softened apples to taste. Continue simmering the apple strudel filling until cooked. Everything will take no more than 10 minutes.

Cinnamon or nutmeg will help highlight the taste of apples and give the strudel filling a pleasant aroma. You need to add spices to the finished apples when you remove them from the heat.

The finished apples will be soft, but will retain their shape. Apples of summer varieties are softer and most likely they will turn out almost puree, but this will not affect either the appearance of the lazy strudel or its taste.

Carefully roll the strudel with apples into a roll, pressing slightly. Leave one edge free of filling and moisten it with water (this is necessary so that the strudel does not unfold).

Cut the roll in half. Then cut each half into small pieces.

Place the strudel in a frying pan with heated oil and brown the bottom.

When the bottom side becomes golden and crispy, turn the lavash strudel over and fry the other side.

Serve apple strudel hot, warm or cooled. It is very, very tasty! Especially with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a cup of aromatic tea.

With added strawberries

Strawberries go well in a strudel filling with sweet apples. Both fresh and frozen berries will work.

Ingredients:

  • strawberries – 180 – 200 g;
  • medium fat sour cream – 3 – 4 tbsp. l.;
  • thin pita bread - 1 large sheet;

  3. Peel the apples and remove the core and seeds. Cut the remaining part and strawberries into small pieces.
  4. Sprinkle the apples with sugar and simmer in a frying pan until soft. Mix the fruit mass, from which most of the liquid has already evaporated, with berry pieces.
  5. Spread the strawberry and apple filling on top of the sour cream and powdered sugar.
  6. To ensure that the strudel always turns out successful and tasty, you should follow the advice from experienced chefs:

    1. To prevent the filling from soaking the base, you need to take care of the component that absorbs fruit juice. For example, pita bread can be coated with breadcrumbs, ground biscuits or cottage cheese.
    2. To create an appetizing crust on top, lavash should be brushed with egg yolk.
    3. All kinds of spices will help make the filling more fragrant - cinnamon, vanilla, cardamom and any others to taste. You can even add citrus zest to it.

    It is the lavash strudel that has the minimum calorie content. If you prepare it according to the classic recipe, then it is only 202.5 kcal per 100 g of dessert. You can afford such a treat even on a diet, but in small portions.

Greetings to everyone who has visited the pages of my Home Recipes! As always, I am happy to share with you simple, unpretentious, tasty and repeatedly tested recipes.

I really love making all sorts of homemade baked goods, inviting friends and sharing good news over a cup of tea. What could be more pleasant than those moments when you are in a circle of people close to you in spirit?

My delicious treat today has its own backstory. One morning, as soon as I had time to wake up, my phone rang, the familiar voice of a close friend sounded in the receiver, who had returned from a weekend tour the night before, asking if I had time to have breakfast, she immediately, without waiting for my answer, told me without no more words to come to her immediately. It's good that we live close to each other.

As soon as I stepped over the threshold of her house, I immediately realized that there would be not only an exchange of pleasant information, but also the preparation of a new tasty treat for tea. I was presented with the fact that now we will prepare strudel from lavash. And that it will be very fast, practically without calories, and also very tasty! Objections were not accepted!

I had never cooked this before, but I was assured that it would be simply incredibly delicious. Well, why not experiment, I decided, and got to work. I liked the result, so I’m sharing this simple recipe with you.

Now for everyone who doesn’t like fiddling with dough, there is an excellent alternative - you can prepare lazy strudel from lavash very quickly and without any fuss!

And for this we need to have the following ingredients on hand:

  • Lavash – 1 piece;
  • Banana – 1-2 pcs;
  • Apple – 2 pcs;
  • Pitless raisins – 100 g;
  • Butter or vegetable-butter mixture – 50 g;
  • Lemon – ½ part;
  • Sugar - to taste;
  • Cinnamon – 1 tsp;
  • White loaf - 3-4 slices.

HOW TO COOK STRUDEL FROM LAVASH

As I promised, the whole cooking process will happen very quickly, that is, as quickly as you can quickly prepare all the ingredients.

So let's start by cutting slices of white loaf into small cubes; it will help us remove the apple juice released during baking. Pour the sliced loaf into a heated frying pan with a piece of butter. Fry quickly over high heat, stirring all the time.

Wash the raisins and pour boiling water over them for a minute. Then add salt to the water and place the raisins on a paper towel to dry.

Remove the finished croutons from the frying pan and move on to the fruit. Peel the banana and apple and quickly chop them into pieces of approximately the same size. Immediately sprinkle with lemon juice.

Next, unfold the pita bread and generously grease its surface with soft butter. Now let’s place the filling we prepared on it: fried crackers, apple and banana pieces, raisins. Lightly sprinkle granulated sugar on top (optional) and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Leave the edges of the pita bread on both sides approximately 5 cm free from the filling.

Now we begin to roll our lavash strudel into a roll shape. We push the side edges inside. Our preparation is almost ready, we transfer it to a baking sheet covered with parchment, and now all that remains is to make the final touch - take a piece of butter and grease the surface of the pita bread with it.

By this time, your oven should already be preheated to 200 degrees. We will bake the lazy lavash strudel for about 15-20 minutes.

During this time you will have time to brew aromatic tea.

That's the whole story! Enjoy your tea!

As always, with love for you Lyudmila.

Ingredients:
- fresh apples – 3 - 4 pieces,
- granulated sugar – 3 tablespoons,
- ground cinnamon – ½ teaspoon,
- walnut kernel – 100 grams,
- thin pita bread – 1 piece,
- lemon – 1 piece or half, to pour over the chopped apples,
- butter or thick sour cream - a little, for soaking the strudel,
- powdered sugar - for sprinkling.

Recipe with photos step by step:

We wash the apples in cold water, dry them with a towel, peel them, and remove the core and seeds. Next, chop into thin slices and sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent them from darkening.

Sprinkle apples with granulated sugar and ground cinnamon and stir.

We lay thin Armenian lavash on the table. It must be fresh, not dried out, otherwise it may break during the folding process and the dish will not turn out.
Melt butter in the microwave or on the stove (about 50 grams). Or we take thick, fatty sour cream (ideally, rustic sour cream). Grease our flatbread.

Arrange the chopped apples on. Along the circumference of the cake (or perimeter, if it is rectangular) leave 1 centimeter from the edges.

We sort out the walnut kernels, chop them finely, grate them or crush them with a press. Sprinkle the apple filling with chopped nuts.

Carefully roll everything up into a roll.
Transfer the roll to a clean, dry baking sheet. Again coat with melted butter or sour cream.

Place the strudel in a preheated oven (180-200 degrees) and bake until deliciously golden brown (10-15 minutes).
We take out our dish and leave it to cool.

Now take a very sharp good knife (this is important) and while still slightly warm, cut the strudel into pieces. Sprinkle it with powdered sugar and serve with tea.

Isn't it really a miracle? Fast and tasty! Enjoy your meal!
