Girls and boys - due to its simplicity and speed, this cake recipe is for schoolchildren, students, working mothers and anyone who is pressed for time and really wants a delicious cake or roll.
The mother of a close friend shared this recipe with me in the early 90s, for which I am very grateful to her. It is so simple that it is remembered the first time and forever.
Well, the most important thing is that it’s very tasty (no wonder its original name is “Finger-lickin’ good”) and it always works out, so I confidently recommend it as a first culinary experience.
It is also perfect as a base layer for many popular cakes, since it turns out airy, tender and porous, does not crumble and cuts perfectly.
You will need:
2 eggs
5 tbsp. Sahara
5 tbsp. milk powder
5 tbsp. flour
1/3 tsp. soda (slaked)
vanillin
Note: it is better to take large eggs and heaped spoons, but without fanaticism. (who doesn’t like very sweet things, you can put sugar on spoons “under the knife”). Slaked soda can be replaced with 1 tsp. baking powder by adding it to the flour.
In case of emergency, milk powder/cream can be replaced with baby formula or natural cream, slightly increasing the amount of flour. But this will be a different recipe and a different cake.
How to cook:
1. Beat eggs and sugar with a mixer until fluffy. Stir in the remaining ingredients, pour onto a greased baking sheet and place in a COLD oven at 180 degrees.
2. Bake for 10-15 minutes until done, depending on the oven (some take up to 30 minutes) and the size of the pan.
For a thin roll spread over a wide sheet, 7 minutes is enough!!!
The dough should flow slowly, like thick condensed milk.


Flour can be different, sometimes you need to stop a little earlier - at 4 or 4.5 tablespoons of flour. If the dough turns out thicker than in the photo, dilute it with milk, sour cream or cream to the desired consistency.

I spread it with jam, preserves, condensed milk, curd dessert, yogurt, chocolate pudding and sour cream whipped with sugar.
My favorite impregnation is any fruity, sour one. Decorated with marshmallows, marmalade, fruits. There is no limit to imagination.
It can be baked like a zebra and rolled into a roll. Cut into brownies. This dough makes delicious charlottes and fruit pies. The most important thing is the lightning speed of preparation and the absolute availability of products.

  1. We start by preparing the dough: beat the eggs into a deep bowl, add sugar and beat with a mixer (until the sugar is completely dissolved).
  2. Here we also add 5 tablespoons with a small slide of milk powder, 5 tablespoons (with a small slide) of sifted wheat flour and soda.
  3. Mix everything until smooth and pour onto a baking sheet lined with parchment. Distribute the dough evenly over the entire surface and place in a cold oven.
