Children's psychological assistance from government agencies

Hello!

Sometimes the soul feels bad. No strength, no mood, melancholy and lost, and you don’t know how to get out. So I had such a period. I looked for psychologists, looked closely at trainings, studied schools and methods - you can only trust your mental health in reliable hands.

I dismissed the trainings right away - I interviewed experienced friends, read reviews (I looked for critical ones, of course), with an analysis of the techniques used, and realized that I would not tolerate such rude interference in my head. All these schools of success, breakthrough methods for changing lives, courses on women's happiness - no, no, not mine.

Next are psychologists and psychotherapists. A huge number of specialists, different working methods and different prices. I went through the LJ of famous healers of souls and gasped - half my salary will have to be given to this help! Working with a psychologist is not a one-time event, it is work on a regular basis, once a week for several months. This includes payment for canceled sessions for many - in order to discipline the client.

And somehow I began to lean towards the idea that best help- independent. I was covered in books and articles... when a truck with gingerbread overturned on my street - someone recommended the MSPP (Moscow Psychological Assistance Service) to me. The specialists are competent - they helped the friend who recommended it. And, surprise, it's free. Oh, it’s worth at least trying for free, I decided, putting the books aside, and rushed to sign up!

I started with face-to-face consultations. That is, I signed up at a branch that was convenient for me geographically and came at the appointed time. I had been to psychologists before and knew roughly what kind of animals they were :) I filled out the form and went to the session. A lady psychologist was waiting for me in a separate, moderately spacious office. Actually, they started working. But somehow, by the third session, I abandoned this matter - I stopped liking the lady, well, that’s not all. The usefulness of the sessions was rapidly declining due to my distrust. Oops.

After a month I decided to continue. But from another specialist. I chose another branch, closer, and asked myself to choose someone more experienced and prettier :) But some life circumstances kept preventing me from getting to the session, then one thing or another...

And then I finally found my format, which I still work in now - SKYPE consulting. Surprisingly, this type of modern service is also provided by SMEs. I found my psychologist, with whom I am comfortable and effective (he turned out to be a psychotherapist in fact) - and he is a man. I’m happy, I don’t miss sessions - we communicate once a week, 45 minutes. Sometimes I have homework, sometimes he sends me books on the topic... Problems are slowly being solved and the light at the end of the tunnel is shining like a bright sun!

And now, for the impatient, briefly:

  • help is absolutely free! (provided that you are a Muscovite/have temporary registration/study at a Moscow university, etc.) Help formats: face-to-face consultation, Skype work (both with video and just audio), correspondence.
  • Usually sign up a week or two before the session. With the exception of emergency psychological assistance.
  • there are some thematic seminars and work in a therapeutic group - but I haven’t tried it yet, I haven’t had time.
  • There are many branches geographically, you can choose any
  • Specialists have different focuses and different methods. Look for yours, not everyone will suit you and be able to help you! Perhaps you will change about 5 - like me :)
  • assistance - when contacting via Skype - is CONFIDENTIAL. My therapist does not have any of my information except my email address and Skype nickname. I don't turn on video calling. When working full-time, you must present your passport, some form... keep this in mind!
  • Paid services are also provided, prices are humane.
  • the number of face-to-face consultations is limited: usually 5, but your psychologist can extend up to 10. Next is a break.
  • all specialists with at least diplomas and extensive current practice. Alas, there are no profiles, regalia or photos of specialists on the site.. terra incognita, so every time you choose a pig in a poke.
  • The site is quite informative, it’s easy to reach by phone - everything works reliably.

I am very glad that in our city there is an opportunity to receive this kind of help. And it is needed not only by people with severe problems or losses, but also by ordinary ordinary Muscovites - everyone has their own “cockroaches” or blues, which is about to develop into depression.
