My husband and I chose a flight with China Southern Airlines from Moscow to Ho Chi Minh City with 2 transfers to Urumqi and Guangzhou. Since we were going to swim a lot and eat a lot of fruit, we flew from Ho Chi Minh City to Phu Quoc, and took masks, snorkels, and pocket knives with us. All this, of course, was packed into luggage. We flew to Ho Chi Minh City at night and therefore took cookies and an orange with us. And this is also included in the luggage. I'm not even talking about creams, eau de toilette, deodorant, or God forbid, a lighter, batteries, a nail file. They didn't take it at all. But.... Chinese customs officers went further. Stopping there is not their principle. Early in the morning we arrived in Urumqi, we were in transit, no one met us, we followed the arrows to the passport and visa service. The fingers of the left hand are 4th up, then the thumb, also with the other hand. This is despite the fact that we filled out the message that we are transit residents. Then we got our luggage, although we flew to Ho Chi Minh City with the same airline, and then the fun began. And not only with us, but with almost all the passengers on our flight. It can hardly be called a home inspection, a search, a search, something like that. All the suitcases were forced to open, those who spent money and packed their belongings in film at Sheremetyevo, they hid the film, all their clothes were shaken up. They rummaged through the medicine cabinet as if they knew something about medicines. I pulled out the swimming tubes, I don’t know what I wanted to see in them, but it was already getting annoying. Why the hell do they want us? We are transit passengers, faces like bricks, digging, finally found, penknives, orange, cookies. The husband could no longer stand it, he began to demand a reason, the answer was simple: “the law.” What the hell is the law with them, we were flying through Shanghai, and it didn’t happen that they would have rummaged through our luggage. In short, on the spread of the passport, where the photo is, my penknives were laid out and photographed. After that they gave me my passport. The orange and cookies were pulled out and confiscated. We thought for a long time about taking the fork or leaving it.... They didn’t take the fork. In short, I’m angry, my husband is angry, how can you go on vacation and not have a knife? How to peel the same watermelon in a hotel? In general, cattle. Well, our knives cost 300 rubles. The man behind me is an awesome folding Swiss knife, followed by the family - a loaf of raw smoked sausage. Some people have apples, sandwiches, everything from their suitcases. They have no law to rummage through the suitcases of transit travelers. This is how they crap. When I return, I want to write to their embassy saying that I was robbed during the security check. Maybe I won’t achieve anything, but I’ll shake their nerves.. Then we went to registration. Our luggage was checked again, then we boarded and bought 0.5 water. We arrived in Guangzhou, apparently there was nothing to confiscate, at least water. She asked me to give it to me to drink. Not allowed. And what laws are we talking about after all this? In a week we are flying back Ho Chi Minh City-Wuhan-Moscow. We don’t know what to expect, what to prepare for, whether it’s possible to make purchases in Vietnam. I wrote a letter to the airline asking them to give me a link to the law that I can carry into hand luggage what's in the luggage. I will push this law into the impudent Chinese customs faces.
