Everyone is good at certain things: the mage allows you to heal and cast spells, the tank can hit and damage many enemies, and the archer is good with a bow and can turn invisible.
The player will have to travel to different places where he needs to complete various quests and kill enemies. It's a standard RPG game with a leveling system, and as you level up you gain skills and choose which character stats you want to improve.
We think the game suffers from the same problem as some of the others on this list - it's short. Also, if you are an avid fan of the Lord of the Rings franchise, you may not like the game as it does not capture the spirit and atmosphere of the books and films.
Overall, Lord of the Rings: War in the North is a good, fun RPG that's perfect for co-op play. The combat system is fun and action-packed, all backed up by a fun co-op mode.
Uncharted 2 & 3
Uncharted 2 & 3 have excellent single player campaigns with a great storyline that feels like an action adventure.
Unfortunately, the main story cannot be completed by two people, but the game has special modes: here you can choose to battle against other players online, shootouts in the arena (for example, team deathmatch) or in co-op against computer-controlled enemies.
Little Big Planet 1 & 2
Many users will agree that this is the best platformer for PS3. Little Big Planet is a creative series with a unique and fun style. The title is a two-player co-op game where teamwork is not a priority as you simply play through the story together. There are really few elements of cooperative play here, but they are, for example, present in boss fights.
The campaign is quite long, and when you finish the main story, you can download and play hundreds of thousands of levels and maps created by other players. There is also an easy to use map editor so you can make your own levels.
Rayman Origins
Rayman Origins is another creative and beautiful platformer with cooperative play. We'd call Rayman a classic platformer, much like Super Mario. There are "punch" and "jump" buttons, and this is the idea of the title: from the very beginning it is quite easy to play, but with each level it becomes more and more difficult. Levels vary between different worlds and modes, keeping Rayman fresh and fun.
The design is hand drawn and looks nice and simple. The game is ideal for those who just want to while away the evening without having to worry about a complex story and controllers.
Resistance: Fall of Man
It's time for a first person shooter! Yes, Resistance may not be the only worthy representative of the genre, but it is one of the few FPS games that can be played with two players throughout the entire campaign. The title takes place in the 1950s, and the plot tells about an alien invasion of planet Earth, as a result of which people are forced to fight for it and for their lives. Here you have to play as one of these soldiers.
In Resistance: Fall of Man, the player can use different kinds weapons, such as pistols from the 1950s. This is a great shooter that requires teamwork to complete. It is recommended for both avid FPS fans and newbies.
