Much of The Divison's Manhattan is a PvE zone where you and your team will only fight against AI opponents. Rank and Currency of the Dark Zone

There is a rank in the Dark Zone that does not depend on your current level. When you kill enemies and other players, or complete a task, you gain experience and your rank increases. Your normal PvE level does not change no matter how much time you spend in the Dark Zone, however, everything you do in the Dark Zone affects your Dark Zone rank. Dark Zone Crates contain loot and Dark Zone currency. There are small boxes, similar to those from the PvE zone, which can be opened by players of any level and take away loot. Evacuation

Renegade agents

6. You can find free goods at your base of operations

Since there will always be more enemies, the more often you use your abilities, the more chances you have to level up your strength.

During my time in the game I found myself using a mine detector with a sticky bomb a lot and realized that the two could be combined to great effect. The explosions' double power will cause massive damage, making them most effective against elite enemies.

Don't trust anyone

It is not necessary to fight against them, you can even do the opposite - cooperate and fight the AI ​​together, but always be prepared for any turn of events. A player who was fighting shoulder to shoulder with you may turn to you at the last moment and fire a burst of machine gun fire at your head to take the loot from your corpse. By the way, only those items that you picked up in the TK can be taken away from you. They are listed as infected and placed in a special yellow bag attached to the backpack. It is by the presence of this bag that you can calculate whether the other player has something potentially valuable, or whether he is still “empty”.

There is only one way to remove and disinfect the things collected in the TZ - by evacuating them by helicopter. The TZ is divided into several sectors and each of them has a pair of helipads. Once you have collected the required amount of loot, move to one of them and signal the helicopter by firing a flare gun into the sky. Hide behind cover, the helicopter will arrive after some time, but until this happens, you are a very tasty target for everyone. Both the AI ​​and other players come running to the evacuation signal.

Living players can arrive at the evacuation point for the same purpose as you - to evacuate the things collected in the TZ. But some have slightly different goals... They will fight on your side, fighting off waves of computer enemies, and then, when you hook the yellow bag to the lowered cable (this operation takes several seconds and at this moment the player is especially vulnerable), they may unexpectedly attack you. Carefully monitor players in the evacuation zone: if they do not have yellow bags, this is the first sign that you need to be wary. Immediately before attaching the cargo to the helicopter’s cable, you can, for example, throw an automatic turret not far from you to be on the safe side. If there are several players near you, then do not start grabbing the yellow bag first (be prepared for an attack), it is better to wait until others start doing it. But don’t delay this matter either - only four players can attach their loot during one evacuation.

Watch what you pick

There is little space in the yellow bag, so choose your loot wisely. For example, when reaching a certain level I started to neglect the “green” items and took at least the “blue” ones. Do not stand for too long near unpicked items, studying their characteristics - the decision to take or not to take should be made as quickly as possible. Personally, the color and level of the item is enough for me. You can increase the capacity of the bag for infected loot by building new departments of the power unit at your main base. In addition to the restrictions of the yellow bag, do not forget about the restrictions of the chest, where all evacuated items go. Yes, yes, he is also not bottomless.

Don't walk alone

I myself like to play the role of a lone wolf, but in I had to admit that researching TK alone is incredibly difficult, dangerous and ineffective. Ideally, you should play with friends; if you don’t have any, invite other players you meet. It is better to do this when you do not yet have a yellow bag on your backpack (read, not a single infected item has been picked up) and you are not a tasty prey in the eyes of others. If another player does not invite you to join the group and does not accept your invitation, then I do not recommend hanging around with him for a long time. As soon as you find something valuable together, grab it and run. Seriously.

Fight wisely

In TK there are very formidable AI rivals, not like in PvE zone. They are very tenacious, assertive and “bite” painfully. I don’t recommend taking on a group of such guys, or just shooting in the body. Each type of enemy has its own weak points: for some it’s just the head, for others it’s gas cylinder on the back or liquid with flammability. Hit marker when hitting an explosive object on the enemy’s body – yellow color. Target exactly these places. And don't forget about grenades and gadgets. You not only have to, you are obliged to use all available weapons in combination: throw a grenade into a cluster of enemies, place the turret in a position convenient for it and immediately begin to conduct aimed fire at the weak points of the adversaries.

Don't let sagren enemies get close. It’s not for nothing that you were given two slots (three if you count the pistol) for weapons. We put melee/medium combat weapons in one slot, and long-range weapons in the second. Personally, I went with a shotgun/sniper combination for a long time, but in the end I replaced the shotgun with an assault rifle, since it is effective not only at close range, but also at medium distances. We shot down the opponents running towards you (you can use the “hip” mode, without getting out of cover - this reduces the chance of causing damage to you), switch to a sniper and shoot distant targets. And don’t forget to change cover from time to time, as the enemies oh how they love to flank.

Keep track of the number of remaining cartridges

There is a severe shortage of ammo in the Dark Zone: the enemies are incredibly durable, and the supply boxes that litter missions in PvE-region, not here. There are few cartridges dropped from the bodies of killed enemies. The only option to completely restore your ammunition supply is to visit one of the shelters. Always plan your shelter trip in advance. For example, before visiting an area with a lot of enemies and loot. After all, after you have fully stocked yourself with cool things in such places, it is advisable to immediately run to the evacuation zone. And if you have few cartridges, then you won’t be able to repel everyone who runs to the signal flare - a pistol with endless ammunition is an extremely ineffective thing. And going, loaded with valuable loot, first to the shelter, and then to the evacuation zone, increases the risk that someone will meet you on the way and shoot you.

Level up your Dark Zone rank

In addition to loot in the Dark Zone, your rank (rating) is also important. This is approximately the same as the character level in PvE-zone. It’s just that in TK you don’t level up, but rank. The first important milestone for a player is rank 30. Until you reach it, you won't be able to buy goods from Dark Zone merchants (which is a ton of cool "purple" loot, including extremely valuable blueprints) or open chests in infested areas. By the way, to buy things from TG merchants you will also need a special currency. Therefore, extinguish as many enemies you encounter as possible to increase your rating, and literally walk over their corpses to collect money from them. But don't go overboard by attacking everyone and everything. When you die, you lose not only the loot you picked up in the TK, but also a little rating. If you have just climbed up a rank, you have a chance to go back down one rank if you die. You should not attack enemies that are too tough for you - it is better to heroically fight or, if possible, not enter into confrontation with them at all.

Memorize the area

Knowledge of the TZ area can be very useful. Getting distracted by the map takes away precious seconds and sometimes can even cost you your life. Make it a goal to look at the map only as a last resort. Memorize streets, buildings, environments, alleys, and the location of large loot boxes - their contents are updated from time to time. The territory of the TZ is not very large (moreover, it needs to be explored gradually) and even I, with my topographic cretinism, was able to remember what is where and how to get there faster. Local knowledge can come in handy in many cases. For example, when attacked by another high-level player or, even worse, a group of players. In this case, escape may be the only chance to survive and save your loot.

Running away is not always a sign of cowardice

While we're on the subject... Players who hunt other players are called renegades. When attacking living people, they are temporarily marked with a red skull. There is an additional reward for killing them, and therefore the renegades themselves become a tasty target for non-renegade players. But it happens that renegades gather in groups and begin to mercilessly mow down all the players who get in their way. They do this not aimlessly: the more renegades manage to kill players before their counter reaches zero, the greater the reward they will ultimately receive. This also has the other side of the coin - if a renegade player dies, he is fined much more seriously than a regular one. So, if you see a group of renegades, run. If they are too close, then only knowledge of the area can save you: you can use stairs and alleys to escape from anyone. If you have a good respirator, you can also take the subway, it’s easier to hide there, and renegades with not the best quality filters won’t get in there.

And finally: do not be fooled by provocations! Particularly arrogant players may start shooting in your direction or even slightly touch you. For this they will not receive the status of a renegade, but if you start firing to kill in response, you will become one. After this, another player can legally kill you, take loot from your corpse, and even receive a bonus for this - after all, you, albeit for a short time, have become a renegade. So be extremely vigilant and good luck in the Dark Zone!
