Prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord God

“We thank Thee, Lord our God, for all Thy good deeds, even from the first age to the present, in us, Thy unworthy servants (names), who were, known and unknown, about those revealed and unmanifested, even those who were in deed and in word: who loved us Just as you deigned to give Your Only Begotten Son for us, make us worthy of Your love.

Grant with Your word wisdom and with Your fear inhale strength from Your power, and whether we have sinned, whether willingly or unwillingly, forgive and not impute, and keep our soul holy, and present it to Thy Throne, having a clear conscience, and the end is worthy of Thy love for mankind; and remember, O Lord, all who call upon Thy name in truth, remember all who desire good or evil against us: for all are men, and every man is in vain; We also pray to You, Lord, grant us Your great mercy.”

Prayer of gratitude to the Almighty

“The council of saints, Angels and Archangels, with all the heavenly powers, sings to Thee, and says: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of hosts, heaven and earth are filled with Thy glory. Hosanna in the highest, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest. Save me, Who art thou King on high, save me and sanctify me, Source of sanctification; For from You all creation is strengthened, To You countless warriors sing the Trisagion hymn. Unworthy of You, who sits in the unapproachable light, of whom all things are terrified, I pray: enlighten my mind, cleanse my heart, and open my lips, so that I may worthily sing to You: Holy, Holy, Holy art thou, Lord, always, now, and ever and to endless ages of ages. Amen."

Prayer of thanksgiving to Jesus Christ

“Lord Jesus Christ our God, God of all mercy and generosity, whose mercy is immeasurable and whose love for mankind is an immeasurable abyss! We, falling before Your greatness, with fear and trembling, like unworthy slaves, bring thanks to You for the mercies shown to us. As the Lord, Master and benefactor, we glorify You, praise You, sing and magnify You and, falling down, thank You again! We humbly pray to Your ineffable mercy: just as now You have accepted our prayers and fulfilled them, so in the future let us succeed in love for You, for our neighbors and in all virtues. And make us worthy to always thank and glorify You, together with Your beginningless Father and Your all-holy, good, and consubstantial Spirit. Amen."

Prayer of thanksgiving for all God's blessings, St. John of Kronstadt

"God! What will I bring to You, how will I thank You for Your constant, greatest mercies to me and to the rest of Your people? For behold, every moment I am enlivened by Your Holy Spirit, every moment I breathe the air You have diffused, light, pleasant, healthy, strengthening, I am enlightened by Your joyful and life-giving light - spiritual and material; I feed on sweet and life-giving spiritual food and the same drink, the holy Mysteries of Your Body and Blood and material sweet food and drinks; You dress me with a bright, beautiful royal robe - with Yourself and material clothes, you cleanse my sins, heal and cleanse my many and fierce sinful passions; You take away my spiritual corruption in the power of Your immeasurable goodness, wisdom and strength, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit - the Spirit of holiness, grace; You give my soul truth, peace and joy, space, strength, boldness, courage, strength, and you endow my body with precious health; You teach my hands to fight and my fingers to fight with the invisible enemies of my salvation and bliss, with the enemies of the holiness and power of Your glory, with the spirits of wickedness in high places; You crown with success my deeds done in Your name... For all this I thank, glorify and bless Your all-good, fatherly, all-powerful power, O God, our Savior, our Benefactor. But be known by Your other people as You appeared to me, O Lover of Mankind, so that they may know You, the Father of all, Your goodness, Your providence, Your wisdom and power, and glorify You, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and to the ages of ages. Amen."

The basis for the salvation of our soul must be faith in God's providence. Everything that happens in our lives is done by the Lord for our good. As long as everything is good in our life and destiny, we understand perfectly well that God loves us, since he sends us joy and grace. But as soon as difficulties and illnesses arise, thoughts immediately arise that God has turned away, forgotten about us, and we begin to grumble. we must graciously endure all the sorrows, illnesses and sufferings sent by God, and not groan at the same time, but offer praise to the Lord God with a prayer of gratitude, because the Lord who loves us sends an atoning cross for our sins.

Prayer of gratitude to the Lord Jesus Christ for help in danger and preservation from harm

Never has a prayer of gratitude to the Lord sounded so fervently as from the lips of a man who has just escaped mortal danger. It is God's providence that grants salvation where survival is impossible. What are the stories of miraculous rescue worth when in incredible car accidents, where mangled car parts are scattered all over the roadway, people remain alive and unharmed? Or when a person suddenly wakes up at night, as if someone had woken him up, and manages to put out a fire that started in the house? With prayers of thanksgiving, we must say thank you to the Lord Jesus Christ for the instances of our salvation, and thank God even more if He has delivered our lives from troubles and dangers.

Prayer of thanksgiving to our Lord upon receiving what we asked for

It happens that when we ask the Lord for our needs, we trust in his good will, we call on the Saints and the Mother of God to patronize us and pray for us, and having received what we want, our passionate prayer immediately subsides. The Christian duty is to glorify the Creator, his wisdom and goodness. When, through our prayers, good changes occur in fate, in addition to a prayer of gratitude to the Lord God, we must order a prayer service in the church. He who does not give thanks shows great ingratitude to the Heavenly giver of all blessings. You should be grateful for all things - big and small. And most importantly, through prayers of gratitude to the Lord we must express gratitude not only for ourselves, but also for others - thereby we destroy envy in ourselves and cultivate love.

Text of the Thanksgiving Prayer to the Lord God in Russian

Thank you, Lord, for hearing me, God’s servant (name), forgiving my sins and giving me the opportunity to survive, live and be healthy and happy. In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen

The real text of the prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord Jesus Christ in Russian

May Thy Holy Body, Lord Jesus Christ, our God, be unto me for eternal life, and Thy Honest Blood for the remission of sins: may this thanksgiving be unto me joy, health and gladness; at Thy terrible and second coming, vouchsafe me, a sinner, to the right hand of Thy glory, through the prayers of Thy Most Pure Mother and all the saints. Amen

It is advisable to read prayers of thanksgiving every day. Thank the Lord for every day you live, for the blessings sent down to you, for the great gift of health, for the happiness of your children. For everything you have at the moment, even if, from your point of view, it is not that much.

Saint Gregory the Theologian wrote: “The Lord thirsts to be thirsty, and fills those who want to drink; He accepts it as a good deed if they ask Him for a good deed. He is accessible and generously gives great gifts, giving with greater joy than others accept on their own. Just by not revealing a low soul, asking for what is unimportant and unworthy of the Giver.”

Great doxology:
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. We praise Thee, we bless Thee, we praise Thee, we praise Thee, we thank Thee, great for the sake of Thy glory. Lord the King of heaven, God the Father Almighty. Lord, Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ, and Holy Soul. Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, take away the sins of the world, accept our prayer. Sit at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us. For you are the only Holy One, You are the only Lord Jesus Christ, to the glory of God the Father. Amen.
I will bless You every day, and I will praise Your name forever and ever.
Grant, Lord, that on this day we may be preserved without sin. Blessed are you, Lord, God of our fathers, and praised and glorified is your name forever. Amen.
May Thy mercy be upon us, O Lord, as we trust in Thee.
Blessed art thou, Lord, teach me by thy justification (this is repeated three times).
Lord, you have been our refuge throughout all generations. Az said: Lord, have mercy on me, heal my soul for those who have sinned against You. Lord, I have come to You, teach me to do Your will, for You are my God, for You are the source of life, in Your light we will see the sowing. Show Your mercy to those who lead You.

Song of the Lord Jesus Christ:
The only begotten Son and the Word of God, immortal, and willing for our salvation to be incarnate from the Holy Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary, immutably made man, crucified Christ God, trampling death by death, the only one of the Holy Trinity, glorified to the Father and the Holy Spirit, save us.
In Your Kingdom, remember us, O Lord, when You come to Your Kingdom.
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for for them is the Kingdom of Heaven.
Blessed are those who cry, for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who are hungry and thirsty for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.
Blessed ones are merciful, for they will receive mercy.
Blessed are those who are pure in heart, for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for these shall be called sons of God.
Blessed is the expulsion of truth for the sake of them, for those are the Kingdom of Heaven.
Blessed are you when they revile you, and destroy you, and say all sorts of evil things against you for lying to Me.
Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is abundant in heaven.

Psalm 22

The Lord shepherds me and will deprive me of nothing. In a green place, there they settled me, on the calm water they raised me. Convert my soul, guide me on the paths of righteousness, for Your name’s sake. Even if I walk in the midst of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me: Your rod and Your club will comfort me. Thou hast prepared a table before me to resist those who are cold against me: Thou hast anointed my head with oil, and Thy cup makes me drunken, like a mighty one. And Thy mercy will marry me all the days of my life, and let us dwell in the house of the Lord for the length of days.

Prayer of thanksgiving, St. John of Kronstadt, read after healing from illness

Glory to Thee, Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of the Father Without Beginning, who alone heals every ailment and every illness among people, for You have had mercy on me, a sinner, and delivered me from my illness, not allowing it to develop and kill me according to my sins. Grant me from now on, Master, the strength to firmly do Your will for the salvation of my damned soul and for Your glory with Your Originless Father and Your Consubstantial Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Prayer of thanksgiving, 1st

I thank you, Lord, my God, for you have not rejected me as a sinner, but have made me worthy to be a partaker of your holy things. I thank You, for You have vouchsafed me, who is unworthy, to partake of Your Most Pure and Heavenly Gifts. But the Lord, the Lover of Mankind, for our sake, died and rose again, and granted us this terrible and life-giving Sacrament for the benefit and sanctification of our souls and bodies, grant this to me for the healing of soul and body, for the driving away of all that is resistant, for the enlightenment of the eyes of my heart , into the peace of my spiritual strength, into unashamed faith, into unfeigned love, into the fulfillment of wisdom, into the observance of Thy commandments, into the application of Thy Divine grace and the appropriation of Thy Kingdom; Yes, we preserve them in Your shrine, I always remember Your grace, and I live not for myself, but for You, our Master and Benefactor; And thus, having gone from this life to the hope of the eternal life, I will achieve everlasting peace, where those who celebrate the unceasing voice and endless sweetness, who behold the ineffable kindness of Your face. For You are the true desire and the inexpressible joy of those who love You, Christ our God, and all creation sings to You forever. Amen.

Prayer 2, St. Basil the Great

Master Christ God, King of the ages, and Creator of all, I thank Thee for all the good things He has given me, and for the communion of Thy most pure and life-giving Mysteries. I pray to Thee, O Kinder and Lover of Mankind: keep me under Thy roof, and in the shadow of Thy wing; and grant me with a clear conscience, even until my last breath, to worthily partake of Your holy things, for the remission of sins and eternal life. For You are the living bread, the source of holiness, the Giver of good things, and we send up glory to You, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Prayer 3, Simeon Metaphrastus

Having given me flesh by Your will, fire and scorch the unworthy, do not scorch me, my Creator; rather, go into my mouth, into all my parts, into my womb, into my heart. The thorns of all my sins fell. Cleanse your soul, sanctify your thoughts. Confirm the compositions with the bones together. Enlighten the simple five of feelings. Fill me with Thy fear. Cover me always, keep me, and save me from every deed and word of the soul. Cleanse and wash and adorn me; Fertilize, enlighten, and enlighten me. Show me Your village of the one Spirit, and not to anyone the village of sin. Yes, like Your house, the entrance of communion, like fire, every evildoer, every passion flees from me. I offer prayer books to You, all the saints, the orders of the disembodied, Your Forerunner, the wise Apostles, and to this Your undefiled, pure Mother, graciously accept their prayers, my Christ, and make Your servant a son of light. For You are the sanctification and the only one of ours, the Good One, of souls and lordship; and like unto You, like God and the Master, we send all glory every day.

Prayer 4

May Thy Holy Body, Lord Jesus Christ, our God, be unto me for eternal life, and Thy Honest Blood for the remission of sins: may this thanksgiving be unto me joy, health and gladness; at Thy terrible and second coming, vouchsafe me, a sinner, to the right hand of Thy glory, through the prayers of Thy Most Pure Mother and all the saints.

Prayer 5, to the Most Holy Theotokos

Most Holy Lady Theotokos, light of my darkened soul, hope, protection, refuge, consolation, joy, I thank Thee, for Thou hast vouchsafed me, unworthy, to be a partaker of the Most Pure Body and Honest Blood of Thy Son. But the One who gave birth true Light, enlighten my intelligent eyes of the heart; You who gave birth to the Source of immortality, revive me, killed by sin; O most merciful Mother of God, have mercy on me, and give me tenderness and contrition in my heart, and humility in my thoughts, and appeal in the captivity of my thoughts; and grant me, until my last breath, to receive consecration of the most pure Mysteries without condemnation, for the healing of soul and body. And give me tears of repentance and confession, to sing and praise Thee all the days of my life, for Thou art blessed and glorified forever. Amen.
Now do You let Your servant go, O Master, according to Your word, in peace: for my eyes have seen Your salvation, which You have prepared before the face of all people, a light for the revelation of tongues and the glory of Your people Israel.
Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us (three times).

Most Holy Trinity, have mercy on us; Lord, cleanse our sins; Master, forgive our iniquities; Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities, for Thy name's sake.
Lord, have mercy (three times).
Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.
Our Father, who art in heaven! Hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, as it is in heaven and on earth. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, just as we forgive our debtors; and do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

Troparion of St. John Chrysostom, tone 8

With your lips, like the light of fire, grace shining forth, enlighten the universe: do not gain the love of money and the treasures of the world, showing us the height of humility, but chastising with your words, Father John Chrysostom, pray to the Word of Christ God to save our souls.

Kontakion, tone 6

Glory: You have received Divine grace from heaven, and through your lips you have taught us all to worship the one God in the Trinity. All-blessed John Chrysostom, Reverend, we worthily praise you: you are a mentor, as if you are manifesting the Divine.

If the Liturgy of St. Basil the Great was celebrated, read

Troparion to Basil the Great, tone 1:

Thy message went out into the whole earth, as if it had received your word, which thou hast divinely taught, thou hast clarified the nature of beings, thou hast adorned human customs, the royal priesthood, reverend father, pray to Christ God that our souls may be saved.

Kontakion, tone 4

Glory: You have appeared as an unshakable foundation for the church, giving to all inconspicuous dominion by man, sealing with your commands, the unappearing Reverend Basil.
And now: The intercession of Christians is not shameful, the intercession to the Creator is immutable, do not despise the voices of sinful prayers, but advance, as the Good One, to the aid of us who faithfully call Thee: hasten to prayer, and strive to supplicate, ever interceding, the Mother of God, who honor Thee.

If the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts was celebrated, read the troparion to Saint Gregory the Dvoeslov, Basil

To the Great, voice 4:

Whom have we received from God above divine grace, O glorious Gregory, and whom we strengthen with strength, who thou hast deigned to walk in the gospel, from whom thou hast most blessedly received from Christ the recompense of labor: pray unto him that he may save our souls.

Kontakion, tone 3

Glory: You appeared to the Chief to be the shepherd of Christ, the monks of the succession, Father Gregory, instructing the heavenly fence, and from there you taught the flock of Christ with His commandment: now you rejoice with them, and rejoice in the heavenly roofs.
Lord, have mercy (12 times). Slava: And now:

Your true and only begotten Son and Holy Comforter Spirit. You are the King of glory, Christ, You are the ever-present Son of the Father: You, having received man for the deliverance, did not disdain the Virgin’s womb. Having overcome the sting of death, you have opened the Kingdom of Heaven to believers. You sit at the right hand of God in the glory of the Father, come and believe in the Judges. We therefore ask you: help your servants, whom you have redeemed with your honest blood. Make it worthy to reign with Your saints in Your eternal glory. Save Thy people, O Lord, and bless Your heritage, correct me and exalt them forever: let us bless You all the days, and praise Your name forever and ever. Grant, Lord, that on this day we may be preserved without sin. Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us: may Thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, as we trust in Thee: in Thee, O Lord, do we trust, that we may not be ashamed forever. Amen.

For he will deliver you from the snare of hunters and from rebellious words; He will cover you with His blanket; you will trust under His wings; His truth will surround you with weapons. Not slaughter from the fear of the night, from an arrow flying during the day, from things that come in the darkness, from the cloak and demon of the midday. A thousand will fall from your country, and darkness will be at your right hand, but it will not come close to you, otherwise you will look at your eyes and see the reward of sinners. For You, O Lord, are my hope; You have made the Most High your refuge. Evil will not come to you, and wound will not come close to your body, as He commanded His angels about you, to keep you in all your ways. They will take you in their arms, but not when you dash your foot on a stone, step on an asp and a basilisk, and cross a lion and a serpent. For he has trusted in Me, and I will deliver and cover, and because he has known My name, he will call to Me and I will hear him; I am with him in sorrow, I will destroy him and glorify him, I will fill him with long days, I will show him My salvation.”

Venerable Moses Murin

ABOUT, great power repentance! O immeasurable depth of God's mercy! You, Reverend Moses, were formerly a robber. You were horrified by your sins, grieved over them, and in repentance came to the monastery and there, in great lamentation over your iniquities and in difficult deeds, you spent your days until your death and received Christ’s grace of forgiveness and the gift of miracles. Oh Reverend, from grave sins Having achieved wonderful virtues, help the slaves (name) who pray to you and are drawn to destruction by the fact that they indulge in the immeasurable consumption of wine, which is harmful to the soul and body. Bow your merciful gaze upon them, do not reject them or despise them, but listen to them as they come running to you. Pray, holy Moses, the Lord Christ, that He, the Merciful, will not reject them, and may the devil not rejoice at their death, but may the Lord have mercy on these powerless and unfortunate (name), who were possessed by the destructive passion of drunkenness, for we are all God’s creations and redeemed by the Most Pure One By the blood of His Son. Hear, Reverend Moses, their prayer, drive away the devil from them, grant them the power to overcome their passion, help them, stretch out your hand, lead them from the slavery of passions and deliver them from wine drinking, so that they, renewed, in sobriety and a bright mind, will love abstinence and piety and eternally glorified the All-Good God, who always saves his creatures. Amen".

“I believe in One God the Father, Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, visible to all and invisible, in One Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Only Begotten, Who was born of the Father before all ages; Light from Light, God is truth and from God is truth, born, not created, consubstantial with the Father, by whom all things were. For our sake, man and our salvation came down from heaven and became incarnate from the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and became human. He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate and suffered and was buried. And rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures. And ascended into heaven, sitting at the right hand of the Father. And the future will bring about the living and the dead, and His Kingdom will have no end. And in the Holy Spirit, the Life-Giving Lord, who proceeds from the Father. Let us worship and glorify those who spoke with the Father and the Son. Into the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. I confess one baptism for the remission of sins. Tea of the Resurrection of the dead and the life of the next century. Amen".

Prayer of spouses without children

“Hear us, Merciful and Almighty God, may Thy grace be sent down through our prayer. Be merciful, Lord, to our prayer, remember Your law about the multiplication of the human race and be a merciful Patron, so that with Your help what You have established will be preserved. By Your sovereign power You created everything out of nothing and laid the foundation for everything that exists in the world - You created man in Your image and, with a sublime secret, sanctified the union of marriage as a foreshadowing of the mystery of the unity of Christ with the Church. Look, O Merciful One, on us, Thy servants, united in a marital union and begging for Thy help, may Thy mercy be upon us, may we be fruitful and may we see the sons of our sons even to the third and fourth generation and live to the desired old age and enter into The Kingdom of Heaven is by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, to whom all glory, honor and worship is due with the Holy Spirit forever. Amen."

When going on a long journey or just for some business, it’s good to mentally say:

“My angel, come with me: you are in front, I am behind you.” And the Guardian Angel will help you in any endeavor.

To improve your life, it is good to read the following prayer daily:

“Merciful Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ and the Power of the Holy Spirit, save, preserve and have mercy on me, the servant of God (name). Take away the damage, the evil eye and bodily pain from me forever. Merciful Lord, cast out the demon from me, the servant of God. Merciful Lord, heal me, servant of God (name). Amen".

If you are worried about your loved ones, say the following prayer until calm comes:

Part two. PRAYERS

Short prayers

Every Orthodox Christian is obliged to pray daily, morning and evening, before and after eating food, before starting and at the end of any task (for example: before teaching and after teaching, etc.).

In the morning we pray to thank God for preserving us last night, to ask for His Fatherly blessing and help for the day that has begun.

In the evening, before going to bed, we also thank the Lord for a successful day and ask him to keep us during the night.

In order for the work to be done successfully and safely, we must also, first of all, ask God for blessings and help for the upcoming work, and upon completion, thank God.

To express our feelings towards God and His saints, the Church has given us various prayers. Here are the most commonly used ones:

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

- in name, in honor, in glory: Amen- truth, truth.

This prayer is called initial prayer because we say it before all prayers, at the beginning of prayers.

In it we ask God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, that is, the Most Holy Trinity, to invisibly bless us for the upcoming work in His name.

QUESTIONS: What is the name of this prayer? Whom do we call upon in this prayer? What do we want when we say (say) prayer: In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit? What does it mean: amen?

We say this prayer at the beginning of every task.

QUESTION: What do we ask of God in this prayer?

- be merciful, forgive.

This prayer is the most ancient and common among all Christians. Even a small child can easily remember it; we say it when we remember our sins. For the glory of the Holy Trinity, we Christians say this prayer three times. We also recite it 12 times, asking God for a blessing for every hour of the day and night; We pronounce it 40 times to sanctify our entire life.

Prayer of praise to the Lord God

Glory to Thee, our God, glory to Thee.

Praise be to You, our God, praise be to You.

In this prayer we do not ask God for anything, but only glorify Him. It can be said in short: God bless. It is pronounced at the end of the task as a sign of our gratitude to God for His mercies to us.

Publican's Prayer

God, be merciful to me, a sinner.

God, be merciful to me, a sinner.

Pharisee and publican in the temple at prayer

This is the prayer of a publican (tax collector), who repented of his sins and received forgiveness. It is taken from the Savior’s parable, which He once told people for their admonition. This is the parable. Two people entered the temple to pray. One of them was a Pharisee, and the other was a tax collector. The Pharisee stood in front of everyone and prayed to God like this: I thank you, God, that I am not such a sinner as that tax collector. I give a tenth of my property to the poor, and I fast twice a week. And the publican, recognizing himself as a sinner, stood at the entrance to the temple and did not dare to raise his eyes to heaven. He struck himself on the chest and said: God, be merciful to me, a sinner! The prayer of the humble publican was more pleasant and pleasing to God than the prayer of the proud Pharisee.

QUESTIONS: What is the name of this prayer? Where did it come from? Tell this parable? Why is the prayer of a publican more pleasing to God than that of a Pharisee?

Prayer to the Lord Jesus

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, prayers for the sake of Your Most Pure Mother and all the saints, have mercy on us. Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, through the prayers of Your Most Pure Mother and all the saints, have mercy on us. Amen.

- be merciful to us, forgive us. Jesus– Savior; Christ– Anointed; prayers for the sake of- for the sake of prayers, or according to prayers.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God - the second Person of the Holy Trinity. As the Son of God, He is our true God, as are God the Father and God the Holy Spirit.

We call Him Jesus, that is Savior, because He saved us from sins and eternal death. For this purpose, He, being the Son of God, dwelt in the immaculate Virgin Mary and, with the influx of the Holy Spirit, incarnated and made man by Her, that is, he accepted the body and soul of a man - was born from the Blessed Virgin Mary, became the same person as we are, but he was only sinless - became a God-man. And instead of us suffering and tormenting for our sins, He, out of love for us sinners, suffered for us, died on the cross and rose again on the third day - conquered sin and death and gave us eternal life.

Realizing our sinfulness and not relying on the power of our prayers, in this prayer we ask that all saints and saints pray for us, sinners, before our Savior. Mother of God who has the special grace to save us sinners through His intercession for us before His Son.

Lord Jesus Christ

Our Savior is called the Anointed One (Christ) because He fully had those gifts of the Holy Spirit, which in the Old Testament kings, prophets and high priests received through anointing.

QUESTIONS: Who is the Son of God? What else do we call Him? Why do we call Him Savior? How did He accomplish our salvation?

Prayer to the Holy Spirit

Heavenly King, Comforter, Soul of truth, who is everywhere and fulfills everything, treasure of good things and Giver of life, come and dwell in us, and cleanse us from all filth, and save, O Good One, our souls.

Heavenly King, Comforter, Spirit of truth, who is everywhere and fills everything, the source of all good and the Giver of life, come and dwell in us, and cleanse us from all sin and save, O Good One, our souls.

- Tsar; Comforter– Comforter; Soul of truth– Spirit of truth, Spirit of truth; Izhe- Which; Syi– existing, located; do everything- filling everything; treasure of the good- a treasury, a repository of all blessings, all goodness; life to the Giver– Giver of life; come and move in- come and move in us- in us; from all filth- from all uncleanness, that is, from all sins; Better- good, kind.

In this prayer we pray to the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Holy Trinity.

We call it the Holy Spirit King of Heaven, because He, as the true God, equal to God the Father and God the Son, invisibly reigns over us, owns us and the whole world. We call Him Comforter, because He comforts us in our sorrows and misfortunes, just as He comforted the apostles on the 10th day after the ascension of Jesus Christ into heaven.

We call Him Spirit of truth, (as the Savior Himself called Him), because He, as the Holy Spirit, teaches everyone only one truth, righteousness, only what is useful for us and serves our salvation.

He is God, and He is everywhere and fills everything with Himself: like him, sit everywhere and do everything. He, as the ruler of the whole world, sees everything and, where needed, gives. He is treasure of the good, that is, the keeper of all blessings, the source of all the good things that we need to have.

We call the Holy Spirit Life Giver, because everything in the world lives and moves by the Holy Spirit, that is, everything receives life from Him, and especially people receive spiritual, holy and eternal life beyond the grave, cleansing himself from his sins through Him.

If the Holy Spirit has such wondrous properties: it is everywhere, fills everything with His grace and gives life to everyone, then we turn to Him with the following requests: Come and live in us, that is, constantly abide in us, as in your temple; cleanse us from all filth, that is, sin, make us holy, worthy of Your presence in us, and save, Dear One, our souls from sins and those punishments that come for sins, and through this grant us the Kingdom of Heaven.

QUESTIONS: To whom do we address this prayer? The Holy Spirit is what Person of the Holy Trinity? What is He called in this prayer? Why - the Heavenly King, the Comforter, the Spirit of truth, present everywhere, filling everything? What are we asking Him for? What does it mean: come and dwell in us? and cleanse from all filth? and save, O Lord, our souls?

Angelic Hymn to the Most Holy Trinity, or “Trisagion”

Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us.

- strong; immortal- undying, eternal.

it is called because the holy angels sing it, surrounding the throne of God in heaven. People who believe in Christ began to use it 400 years after the birth of Christ. There was a strong earthquake in Constantinople, from which houses and villages were destroyed. Frightened, Tsar Theodosius II and the people turned to God in prayer. During this general prayer, one pious youth (boy), in full view of everyone, was raised to heaven by an invisible force, and then lowered back to earth unharmed. He told the people around him that he heard the holy angels singing in heaven: Holy God, holy Mighty, holy Immortal. The touched people, repeating this prayer, added: have mercy on us, and the earthquake stopped.

In this prayer God we call the first Person of the Holy Trinity - God the Father; Strong– God the Son, because He is as omnipotent as God the Father, although according to humanity He suffered and died; Immortal- The Holy Spirit, because He is not only eternal Himself, like the Father and the Son, but also gives life to all creatures and immortal life to people.

A youth lifted into the sky by an invisible force

during public prayer in Constantinople

Since in this prayer the word saint is repeated three times, then it is also called “trisagion”.

QUESTIONS: Who are we praying to in this prayer? How many times should you repeat it? What is it called? Why is it called an angel's song? What is known about the origin of this prayer? Why is it also called “trisagion”?

Doxology to the Most Holy Trinity

Glory to the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Praise be to the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now, always and forever. Amen.

– praise; now- Now; constantly- Always; forever and ever- forever, or forever.

In this prayer we do not ask God for anything, but only glorify Him, who appeared to people in three Persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, to whom now and forever belongs the same honor of glorification.

QUESTION: Who do we praise or praise in this prayer?

Prayer to the Holy Trinity

Most Holy Trinity, have mercy on us; Lord, cleanse our sins; Master, forgive our iniquities; Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities, for Thy name's sake.

Most Holy Trinity, have mercy on us; Lord (Father), forgive us our sins; Master (Son of God), forgive our iniquities; Holy (Spirit), visit us and heal our diseases, to glorify Your name.

– extremely holy; Trinity– Trinity, three Persons of the Divine: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit; sins and iniquities– our deeds are contrary to the will of God; visit- come; heal– heal; infirmities– weaknesses, sins; for your name's sake- to glorify Your name.

This prayer is one of petition. In it we turn first to all three Persons together, and then to each Person of the Trinity separately: to God the Father, so that He may cleanse our sins; to God the Son, so that He may forgive our iniquities; to God the Holy Spirit, so that He may visit and heal our infirmities.

And the words: for your name's sake again refer to all three Persons of the Holy Trinity together, and since God is One, He has one name, and therefore we say “Thy name”, and not “Thy names”.

QUESTIONS: What is this prayer? Who are we addressing in it? What do the words mean: cleanse our sins, forgive our iniquities, visit and heal our infirmities? To whom do we turn when we say: for Thy name's sake? What do these words mean?

Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven!

1. Hallowed be thy name.

2. Thy kingdom come.

3. Thy will be done as it is in heaven and on earth.

4. Give us this day our daily bread.

5. And forgive us our debts, just as we forgive our debtors.

6. And do not lead us into temptation.

7. But deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Our heavenly Father!

1. Hallowed be thy name.

2. Thy kingdom come.

3. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

4. Give us this day our daily bread.

5. And forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.

6. And do not allow us to be tempted.

7. But deliver us from evil.

Because to You belongs the kingdom, the power and the glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.

- Father; Izhe- Which; Who art thou in heaven– Which is in heaven, or heavenly; Yes- let be; hallowed- glorified: like- How; in heaven- in the sky; urgent– necessary for existence; give me a shout- give; today- today, for the present day; leave it- sorry; debts– sins; our debtor– to those people who have sinned against us; temptation– temptation, danger of falling into sin; sly- everything cunning and evil, that is, the devil. An evil spirit is called the devil.

This prayer is called the Lord's, because the Lord Jesus Christ Himself gave it to His disciples when they asked Him to teach them how to pray. Therefore, this prayer is the most important prayer of all.

In this prayer we turn to God the Father, the first Person of the Holy Trinity.

It is divided into: invocation, seven petitions, or 7 requests, and doxology.

Summoning: Our Father, who art in heaven! With these words we turn to God and, calling Him Heavenly Father, we call upon Him to listen to our requests or petitions.

When we say that He is in heaven, we must mean spiritual, invisible sky, and not that visible blue vault that is spread above us, and which we call “sky”.

Request 1: Hallowed be your name, that is, help us to live righteously, holyly and glorify Your name with our holy deeds.

2nd: Thy Kingdom come, that is, honor us here on earth with Your heavenly kingdom, which is truth, love and peace; reign in us and rule us.

3rd: Thy will be done as it is in heaven and on earth, that is, let everything not be as we want, but as You please, and help us to obey this Your will and fulfill it on earth as unquestioningly, without grumbling, as it is fulfilled, with love and joy, by the holy angels in heaven . Because only You know what is useful and necessary for us, and You wish us good more than we ourselves.

4th: Give us our daily bread today, that is, give us for this day, for today, our daily bread. By bread here we mean everything necessary for our life on earth: food, clothing, housing, but most importantly, the most pure Body and honest Blood in the sacrament of holy communion, without which there is no salvation, no eternal life.

The Lord commanded us to ask for ourselves not wealth, not luxury, but only the most necessary things, and to rely on God in everything, remembering that He, as a Father, always cares and takes care of us.

5th: And forgive us our debts, just as we forgive our debtors., that is, forgive us our sins just as we ourselves forgive those who have offended or offended us.

In this petition, our sins are called “our debts,” because the Lord gave us strength, abilities and everything else in order to do good deeds, but we often turn all this into sin and evil and become “debtors” before God. And so, if we ourselves do not sincerely forgive our “debtors,” that is, people who have sins against us, then God will not forgive us. Our Lord Jesus Christ Himself told us about this.

6th: And do not lead us into temptation. Temptation is a state when something or someone draws us to sin, tempts us to do something lawless and bad. So, we ask - do not allow us to fall into temptation, which we do not know how to endure; help us overcome temptations when they happen.

7th: But deliver us from evil, that is, deliver us from all evil in this world and from the culprit (chief) of evil - from the devil (evil spirit), who is always ready to destroy us. Deliver us from this cunning, crafty power and its deceptions, which is nothing before You.

Doxology: For Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Since to You, our God, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, belongs the kingdom, and the power, and the eternal glory. All this is true, truly so.

QUESTIONS: Why is this prayer called the Lord's Prayer? Who are we addressing in this prayer? How does she share? How to translate in Russian: Who art thou in heaven? How to convey in your own words the 1st petition: Hallowed be Thy Name? 2nd: Thy kingdom come? 3rd: Thy will be done as it is in heaven and on earth? 4th: Give us our daily bread this day? 5th: And forgive us our debts, just as we also forgive our debtors? 6th: And lead us not into temptation? 7th: But deliver us from evil? What does the word: amen mean?

To better understand what prayer is, as an individual tool for spiritual development and purification, please read the following articles:

  1. For it to work, the prayer must be read in a state of open consciousness. This is best done through images: while reading, imagine that your consciousness (top of your head) is completely open and through it you and your body are filled from above with a stream of pure white-golden Light from
  2. Reading a prayer is not just reciting into nowhere, it is a specific appeal - to the Creator, to your Soul, so it is important to realize and imagine that you are addressing living Beings, and the highest, purest and most powerful Beings in this world. Prayer is living appeal and communication!

You can supplement and change the given text of the free prayer as you feel. It is important to find your own images, phrases and meanings that will give you the highest and brightest feelings and state, the most powerful Light in your soul.

Prayer of Gratitude and Repentance:

“Heavenly Father, Creator - I thank You for everything that has been given to me by fate, for my Soul, for life, for my beloved family and friends - I thank You. Lord, I repent before You for the fact that I did not appreciate much that was given to me by fate, for my irresponsibility and ingratitude - I repent. Lord, I thank you for the lessons of fate that taught me wisdom and made me stronger, I thank you for my loved ones, their love and support. I repent to you, my Soul, that I did not listen to you, ignored you, did not think about you, because I was selfish and followed not my Soul, but my own ambitions, pride, and low desires. I ask You, my Heavenly Father, Creator of my Soul, help me to follow the Light, Good, overcome my ego, always go up and never down. Heavenly Father, I accept my smallness before You, I accept that only You have power over my Soul, destiny, life, and no one except You anymore has power over my soul and body, over my destiny.

Lord, I ask you to teach me, my Soul, to be led by You, to follow You always and only upward. Please, Creator, teach me the correct attitude towards my own Soul, interest and warm attitude to yourself, teach to feel and defend the interests of your Soul, and not to serve your proud and capricious ego. Teach me to hear the voice of my divine Soul and distinguish it from the voice of my desires.

My Heavenly Father, I am learning to give thanks for everything, to appreciate everything that has been given to me by You and the Forces of Light, including thank you for the most complex and difficult lessons and trials. I let go of all the pain and resentment that have been accumulated in my soul, I no longer need it. And I ask you to help me reveal gratitude, joy, faith in the Power of Good and wisdom in my soul, instead of insults, disappointments and pain.

Thank you…"

  • The main thing is to catch a high light wave, a flow of feelings, and then the prayer can be supplemented with individual blocks. Try it, follow your heart.
  • I also highly recommend that you first write your individual prayer in a development notebook and then read it. The effect will be much stronger, and the prayer will be deeper, because when we write, we automatically enter the state of a guide and the necessary prayer is simply given to us from Above.
